Home pig slaughter is becoming increasingly rare thanks to EU regulations. It used to be primarily a family affair. Nowadays, when few people raise their own pigs, it is becoming more of a community event. This one takes place every year in the Prague marina on Cisarska Louka, which is one of the few places in Prague where people live permanently on boats and houseboats, creating a special community, a village in the city, which to a large extent lives its own life, separate from the surrounding city.
